High school students, parents and teachers attended the education fair in Mississauga that would help guide youth in the next steps in their post-secondary education.
Hosted by ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America) Relief Canada, the ‘Bridging the gap: Between high school & Post Secondary’ fair was held at Mississauga’s Maple Banquet Hall.
Institutions like Seneca and Humber colleges, and Volunteer MBC were there to convey all sorts of necessary information about the higher education system, which youth may encounter after the summer break.
During the event, students interacted with mentors and attended various workshops targeting specific fields of study, learned about different career options and mentally prepared themselves for post-secondary life.
Some of the mentors included professionals as well as students and professors from University of Toronto and York University.
