NEW YORK, NY (December 2, 2015) – The Islamic Circle of North America is appalled at today’s mass shooting at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino. Our condolences and thoughts are with the families of the victims of this senseless shooting and we pray for the speedy recovery for those that are wounded.
Once again we hope for peace and stability in our society and we thank our law enforcement agencies for the quick response in stopping any further violence.
As the investigations are still ongoing, we remind the American Muslim community to be extra vigilant and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the law enforcement agencies.
ICNA also supports President Obama’s call for “common sense gun safety laws” to end these senseless shootings plaguing our nation.

No you are not. These are just words. Words do not bring life back. As a Muslim I am totally ashamed. The bigger question is what organization like yours are doing to educate the Muslims on their completely non Islamic behavior.
There is a complete lack of leadership by you guys. You do NOt serve any useful purpose.
Police says they are “comfortable” that the shooters are deceased. how they are comfortable? Did anyone of you tried to contact the family of suspects?
Media quoted Farooks father saying “my Son was a devout Muslim” as he is confirming he did that. Kindly try to drill down information deeply otherwise ICNA has no right to lead the Muslim community.
Just posting a condolence is not enough. Muslim community want to know what exactly happened. How the police suspected them? Why they are not shedding light on this issue when they say the are “comfortable”? Why the gun-purchase information is not revealed when everything about the shooters has been released. Media is quoting Farook’s relatives as confirming the were the shooters.
