-—FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—-
NEW YORK, NY (January 3, 2016) – The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), denounces the executions of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr a well-known Shia cleric and three other Shia Muslim activists in Saudi Arabia yesterday.
ICNA believes that all citizens of any country have the right to voice their opinion peacefully and these executions go against the universal concepts of justice and freedom.
We believe that these executions undermine Shia-Sunni relations and makes peace in the Middle East, the main objective of Muslims in the region, a more difficult goal to achieve.
ICNA appeals to all political leaders and and religious scholars in the U.S., the Middle East and everywhere else to work vigorously for the unity and harmony among all Muslims.

Dear ICNA Leadership I salute you for your just statement. ICNA has made me proud. We are all human beings against injustice. We believe in dialogue , understanding and unity between all muslims and all non muslims against INJUSTICE. The crime of this nature is a shame for all muslims.
“… All the citizens of any country have the right to voice their opinion peacefully”. Peacefully, yes, but by causing death to other citizens and inciting people to take up armed revolt against standing governments, not at all! Such traitors of the state deserve death, under any constitution of the world.
Pls check the facts of how many people have died recently in KSA due to this group’s hatred mongering and bombing of Masajid.
ICNA should be uniting Muslims, so pls don’t pass such statements that’d please your own governments, at the expense of creating unnecessary hatred against legitimate Muslim governments.
