—FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—
NEW YORK, NY (July 9, 2013) – The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) condemns the escalating violence in Egypt and the usurpation of the rule of law through the military coup. Yesterday’s massacre of more than 50 civilians with over 500 injured, and the killing of individuals in Alexandria are horrendous crimes. This attack is one of the deadliest incidents in recent months in Egypt.
The coup staged by the military is an attack on the legitimate democratic process in Egypt. This will set back the precious gains made by the Egyptian people towards establishing a free and just society. In a democracy, political discourse is always the right way of bringing opposing parties to agreements that serve the best interest of the nation. The first freely elected government of President Morsi in Egypt was toppled by the military thus showing a complete disregard of the democratic and political process.
The President of ICNA, Naeem Baig, said, “We urge all political parties in Egypt to come together to resolve this crisis immediately and take steps to prevent further outbreaks of violence. Furthermore, all political parties need to work together by putting their differences aside for the sake of a free and democratic Egypt.”
ICNA appeals to President Barack Obama to denounce this violent attack on peaceful pro-democracy demonstrators. Furthermore, ICNA urges the White House to cease U.S. aid to the Egyptian military. The U.S. should not be seen as supporting the human rights violations and the destruction of democratic processes being committed by the Egyptian military.

S.8:2-3= The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur’an) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone); Who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and spend out of that We have provided them. S.8:13 = And whoever defies and disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.

I am extremely sad about your unjust calling the People’s revoltion against a dictatorship a Military Coup. Where have you been when the Genius Youth of TAMARRUD collected documented 22 million signatures and handed them to the Top of the Army with legitimate requests which were delivered to the failed President? Where have you been when a record 33 plus million Egyptians went to the streets all over the nation while the Army only protected them against the atrocities of the IKHWAN against them? You are shaming the Moslem World by your supporting corrupt Moslems…..!!!!
A ssalaame halaycumue I asked for a entertainment job position or anything but I received a late event flay être on my mail I’m hust wandering to do something but in case I’be to check my mail ok jazaacumu llanos khayrane..:-)
This is so unacceptable in Islam to overthrow a “Majority 51% of the vote” Freely elected President of Egypt because some people did not like him….even if ten million people did not like him and went into the streets and voiced their objections “PEACEFULLY” does not mean people discard the results of the Majority” with a American Government broker Coupe?! Outrageous that democracy is only allowed for western power needs and aspirations not the Nations. Muslims make Dua Allahu Ta Ala raise from amongst us someone who will stand for truth and justice…give us strength against the enemies of Islam and faith.
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well Acquainted with what you do.” (Surah Ma’idah 5:8)
When the fitnah occurred in the time of ‘Uthman (RA), some of the people said to Usamah ibn Zaid , “Will you not speak to Uthman?” he replied: “You think that I will not talk to him without letting you know about it (also). Indeed, I will certainly talk to him regarding that which concerns me and him without initiating a matter which I do not love to be the first to initiate.”
Duty of a Muslim to Give Sincere Advice to the Corrupt Ruler
“The master of martyrs (sayyid al-shuhadaa) is Hamza, and a man who stands up to a tyrant ruler and gives him nasiha (advice). And so the ruler kills him.” Rasulullah (SAW) continued to say : “By Allah you have to enjoin good and forbid evil, and hold against the hand of the unjust ruler and force him on the truth strongly, or you have to limit him to the truth”. By this evidence, which is the hadith commenting on the verse, Allah has prohibited us from remaining silent against the evil, and He commanded us to remove it. Allah commanded the Muslims to enjoin good and deny evil, and made it a duty upon them to do so. Allah said; “Let it be from among you a group who call to the good, enjoin good and deny evil.” Allah also said: “You have been the best nation (Ummah) brought to the people, because you enjoin good and deny evil.” (Musnad of Ahmad)

Saying Of The Pious People
Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (RA) used to say: “Whoever aids an oppressor or taught him an argument to nullify the right of an ordinary Muslims, has drawn upon himself the anger of Allah.”
Rulers Will Be Held Accountable To Allah
Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated Rasulullah (SAW) said: “The Israelis used to be ruled and guided by prophets: Whenever a prophet died, another would take over his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be Caliphs who will increase in number.” The people asked: “O Allah’s Apostle! What do you order us (to do)?” Rasulullah (SAW) said, “Obey the one who will be given the pledge of allegiance first. Fulfill their (i.e. the Caliphs) rights, for Allah will ask them about (any shortcoming) in ruling those Allah has put under their guardianship.” (Al-Bukhari)
Rasulullah (SAW) said: “If any ruler having the authority to rule Muslim subjects dies while he is deceiving them, Allah will forbid Paradise for him.” (Al-Bukhari)
Allah says:
وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ إِثْمًا فَإِنَّمَا يَكْسِبُهُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
“And whoever earns sin, he earns it only against himself. And Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All Wise.” (Surah Nisaa 4:111)
Ma’qil narrated “I heard Rasulullah (SAW) saying: “Any man whom Allah has given the authority of ruling some people and he does not look after them in an honest manner, will never feel even the smell of Paradise.”(Sahih Muslim)
President Morsi must be restored to to his legitimate office as the Freely Elected Presidential Leader of Egypt by it’s Majority…afford him the opportunity to bring together the many different facets of his society. Must respect the TREATIES with Israel and encourage others to do so as an advocate for the Palestinian People. Mubaraks’ military should not be given a say in the Democratic process…those Generals should be dismissed and held for war crimes against the people of Egypt and the rightly elected leaders. America/Israel should stop meddling in Egypt’s affairs.

Egypt must be inclusive not exclusive to Muslims.
This is for Brother Mamdouh and his so call TAMARRUD- “The Rebellion” Mr. Sawiris, one of Egypt’s richest men and a titan of the old establishment, said Wednesday that he had supported an upstart group called “tamarrod,” Arabic for “rebellion,” that led a petition drive seeking Mr. Morsi’s ouster. He donated use of the nationwide offices and infrastructure of the political party he built, the Free Egyptians. He provided publicity through a popular television network he founded and his major interest in Egypt’s largest private newspaper. He even commissioned the production of a popular music video that played heavily on his network.
“Tamarrod did not even know it was me!” he said. “I am not ashamed of it.”
He said he had publicly predicted that ousting Mr. Morsi would bolster Egypt’s sputtering economy because it would bring in billions of dollars in aid from oil-rich monarchies afraid that the Islamist movement might spread to their shores. By Wednesday, a total of $12 billion had flowed in from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. “That will take us for 12 months with no problem,” Mr. Sawiris said.
Ms. Gebali, the former judge, said in a telephone interview on Wednesday that she and other legal experts helped tamarrod create its strategy to appeal directly to the military to oust Mr. Morsi and pass the interim presidency to the chief of the constitutional court.(New York Times) A Coupe by the Elitist using its wealth to overthrow a freely elected President?
Mr. Sawiris, one of Egypt’s richest men and a titan of the old establishment is like the American version Elitist Rich KOCH Brothers and it’s many faceted political movements it finances like the “Tea Party” and “America for Prosperity” to steal and overrun elections and get POWER.
“And to the people of Madian, we sent their berother Shuaib. He said, O my people serve Allah; you have no deity other than He. Do not give short measure and weight. Though I see you in a state of prosperity, I fear for you the scourge of a day that will encircle you. And O my people give full measure and weight justly and do not defraud of their goods and do not spread mischief in the land. The residue (after giving full measure) is best for you, if you are believers. Any how I am not a guardian over you. “They replied, O Shuaib, Does your salat teach you this that we should give up all those deities whom our forefathers worshipped or that we should have no right on our goods to dispense with them as we please. Indeed you are the only generous and righteous man (left in the land).” (Hud: 84-87)
When Prophet Shuaib insisted that they should give up their corrupt ways, they said bitterly:
“They answered, “O Shuaib, We do not understand much of what you say. Indeed we see that you are a powerless man among us. Had it not been for your family, we would have stoned you to death long before this for you are not strong enough to prevail over us.”(Hud: 91)
America stands for democracy and should always support democracy and not the “Selective Democracy”. It will improve image of USA in Muslim masses across the Muslim world. More over for those who mention signature campaigns to oust an elected president by Army power are either too naive or are living in fool’s paradise. Replacement of an elected government in a democracy is not done by signature campaigns, rather it is done by election. No one can verify the authenticity of claimed numbers of signatures and people on street against Morsi. But even if they were somewhat accurate, then many millions voted and can sign petition against president Obama. Will there be any sane person asking military generals to replace elected president by a selective government in USA?
This also is a perfect setting to produce and recruit militants. As many in Morsi’s party will argue that even when we got the majority, we were not allowed to govern, hence they may think that using militancy will be only way to come in power!!
Army coupe can never bring democracy in any country and for those short sided individuals who support these actions should remember that “People who try to ride on the back of a tiger usually end up inside the tiger”
