JAMAICA, New York (August 12, 2010) – The holy month of Ramadan is commemorated by more than 1.5 billions Muslims around the globe, and nearly 7 million in the United States alone. As a leading American Muslim organization, the Islamic Circle of North America would like to extend its thanks to Microsoft’s Bing search engine for recognizing Ramadan on bing.com.

“[Microsoft’s] message is one that embraces the diversity of the global population, promotes religious tolerance and brings joy to Muslims across the world. We are thankful for their support of the Muslim community and hope that this month is a source of inspiration and enlightenment for all of us,” said Waqas Syed, Director of the ICNA IT Department.
