ICNA Info Booth at the Miami International Book Fair

 

MIAMI, Florida (Nov 30, 2010) – The Islamic Circle of North America South Florida chapter hosted a dawah booth at the Miami Book Fair from November 19-21, 2010.

 

Volunteers at ICNA South Florida’s booth met with over 2,000 visitors over the course of three days. Over 1,000 copies of the Quran and around 5,000 WhyIslam brochures in both Spanish and English were distributed over the weekend, along with 150 Quran CDs in English and French, 150 copies of A Brief Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam, and 50 copies of Towards Understanding Islam, Islam Denounces Terrorism, and numerous books clarifying misconceptions about the faith.

 

Abdulrauf Khan, Regional Secretary for ICNA South Florida said that this year’s event was incredibly successful. “People came looking for the Quran and asked us for copies; they wanted to know what it was all about. We are very thankful that we had the opportunity to provide them with information on Islam and tell them about our faith.”
