Ugust 10, 2010 – ICNA Relief USA, a Domestic Faith Based Social Service and Disaster Relief Organization, recently opened its newly established office in Massachusetts located at 222 Broadway (inside the Casablanca Cafe), Chelsea, MA 02150. Malika Bey-Rushdan will serve as the Project Director for the new ICNA Relief Boston operations. Originally from the Boston area, she brings with her a wealth of experience in community development.
ICNA Relief Boston has many programs planned; however, since their inception, they have been working on issues related to the recently arriving refugees from Iraq, Somalia, and Bhutan who have resettled in MA during a difficult economy.
ICNA Relief Boston has established a Halal Food Pantry and Free Thrift Shop for those in the community who seek food security, serving a combined total of 248 people. ICNA Relief Boston is offering free Halal Lunch for all kids age 18 and under.
They are also working with individuals in the areas of resume development, job search, English language skills, referrals, and access to services including public benefits and public housing. They are providing advocacy on behalf of individuals and families, helping them navigate the often intimidating public welfare and legal systems.

Icna Relief Housing shelter doesn’t serve for needy people. In New York City, I saw a sick Pakistani woman left outside while the crew of Icna Relief went for a friday prayer. A sudanese professional woman who was a doctor and didn’t need any help found a room to stay at Icna Relief USA for free, but a divorced Pakistani woman who didn’t have any support in the US left outside of the shelter. The person who was in charge of the housing shelter could use the help provided by icna fund (food, money and outreach) for her own benefit. The director of this shelter was a pathetically deceiving woman. Overall, it was a sick place. It needs a lot of inspection. I hope someone from head of ICNA will read my comment. You have to inspect everything regularly.
