—FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—
LOS ANGELES, California (February 15, 2011) – In a press release issued today ICNA Relief thanked the Southern California community for its support of their fundraising dinner in Yorba Linda, Orange County, California on Sunday night.
“We are grateful to the Yorba Linda community for its support, and hope that together we are able to bring a positive change to struggling communities in Southern California,” said Khalid Memon, Coordinator of ICNA Relief Southern California.
Several individuals protested the annual event, which raised funds for ICNA Relief’s social services projects in Southern California. Maqsood Ahmad, Executive Director, ICNA Relief, addressed protesters stating, “ICNA Relief is dedicated to numerous causes, and we are confident that our work here and across the United States will prove our true objectives. We invite those who have questions regarding our programs to speak with us directly so we may address their concerns. It is only through civil dialogue that we may create an atmosphere of mutual understanding and peace, rather than one based on prejudice and fear mongering. Such speech can only create more hatred, bias and bigotry, and will ultimately lead to a more intolerant society.”
“ICNA personally requests that Sunday’s protesters and other concerned individuals schedule a date and time to meet with our board members, either at our local office or at any mutually agreed upon location. We look forward to introducing you to ICNA Relief and addressing any of your concerns. We are always open to your suggestions on helping underprivileged Americans in our neighborhoods.”
ICNA Relief is the social services branch of the Islamic Circle of North America, a leading American Muslim organization dedicated to the betterment of society through the promotion of Islamic values. ICNA Relief’s projects include women’s housing, hunger prevention, family counseling, medical aid, emergency financial support and funeral and burial assistance. why dont you have a picture of malik ali posted?
if all that was discussed at the event was the beauty of muslim charity…why dont you post the videos?
what have you got to hide?
will you repudiate malik ali and his belief that america and israel were behind 9/11
will you condemn hamas and hezbollah by name?
9/11 was an inside job, all the evidence supports it (thermite, call for a pull, witnesses to detonation, restriction of investigation, video footage at pentagon). These protesters should be pitied for their narrow minds and sheep-like following of a propaganda machine engineered by the same people who are stealing their pensions and evaluating their dollar. The Muslim nation cannot be blamed for the acts of a few, just as the entire Jesus-following nation cannot be blamed for a few child-raping priests. I for one applaud the Yorba Linda Islamic community for their courage in the face of this outright racism. As for 9/11 – do some independent research and stop listening to Wolf Blitzer.
Why not bring suit against these people?
I’m sure if you consult a lawyer you can come up with some grounds to sue.
