   My name is Desiree I am very interested in helping my Muslim sisters and their children who are in the struggle(homeless) or in need of help. I attend the Islamic Circle of North America.
   I was given your number by a member of this Isamic Center. I would like to have all my Muslim sisters to have a tea party on Sept 27, 2009 in their home towns. We would then collect things for the Muslim shelters for Muslim sisters and their children. If they are no Musliim Shelter we suggest the Muslim shelter in Balt. Md Muslimat Al-Nisaa.    http://www.mnisaa.org. I would like to proclaim Sunday Sept 27, 2009 as Purple Scarf Day. On this day Muslim Women threw out the country will be coming together for a Tea Party. WE will have a fashion show and Someone to speak to us about helping our fellow Muslim who are in need. I have ask the Sister Asma who is the excutive director of the Muslim Shelter in Maryland to come and give us a talk about her shelter and show some pictures. She said she is willing. I have talked to some sister in my community and they said they would like to do something like this to help out the sister in the struggles.
   My vison is to have all the sister come together on Sun 27, 2009 and wear a purple scarf. We will have all kinds of teas, and everyone bring a dish. Sisters can brind there wares to sell for a small fee of 8.00. The children can sell their bake goods. We would like each sister to bring stuff for the shelter like, lotion, soaps, deorodrant, female items, food, etc. and they money we collect will go to the shelter as a gift to pay their heating bill or electric bill. We also will be making purple scarfs and sell them. the money for that will go to the Muslim shelter.
