LOS ANGELES, California (October 31, 2010) – The Islamic Circle of North America Southern California chapter invites you to participate in its Young Muslims Quiz Competition, taking place on November 7th, 2010 at Islamic Center of Orange County (ISOC), Garden Grove, CA.

The quiz competition is open to students between grades 3 and 12. Preliminary rounds were held on October 31st at the Islamic Center of San Gabriel and the Islamic Center of Corona, and will also be held on November 7th at the Islamic Center of Orange County. A debate competition for college level students on the issue of Islamophobia and the final round for the quiz competition will also be held at ISOC on November 7th.
The Young Muslims Quiz Competition stimulates the spiritual and intellectual development of youth by providing an incentive for gaining knowledge on Islam and Islamic history. The event is an experience for the entire family, with attractive prizes ranging from Umrah tickets to computers as well as a trophy for the Islamic center with most winners.

The Islamic Circle of North America is a leading American Muslim organization dedicated to the betterment of society through the promotion of Islamic values. Co-hosted by the Islamic Circle of North America and Young Muslims, the Young Muslim Quiz Competition is an annual event that attracts over 5,000 American Muslim youth a year. The competition aims to revive the youth’s thirst for learning by providing a platform in which their knowledge and skills are tested and recognized.
