ICNA Convention in Northeast: a tremendous success.
Boston, MA (December 3, 2019) – The Islamic Circle of North America’s (ICNA) convention at Worcester, Massachusetts was a tremendous success. Over 3,000 people attended the event that was also addressed by U.S. Senator Edward Markey and Mayor Joseph Petty.
Presidential Candidate and Sen. Elizabeth Warren also sent a message of congratulation and appreciation to ICNA on the occasion. The largest Muslim convention in the North East featured several unique and popular programs like Quran Recitation in different dialects, and separate sessions by the Boston Islamic Seminary, ICNA Sisters, ICNA Council for Social Justice, CAIR, and Muslim Children of North America. Programs included topics on medical ethics and mental health. The venue included a children’s ride area, and halal food vendors with variety of ethnic food.
