(March 18, 2020, Washington D.C.) – The annual 45th ICNA-MAS Convention scheduled for April 10-12 this year, in Washington D.C. has been cancelled.

The organizers recognize that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a major health concern for everyone and urged the registrants, vendors, speakers, volunteers and others to pray for the well being of all and follow the guidelines of health and government authorities to help keep our communities safe and healthy.
Email will be sent out to all attendees and vendors who have registered about refund options by March 30th. An email will also be sent from the Housing Bureau of Washington D.C. No credit cards have been charged for the hotel bookings.
Over 25,000 people were expected this year at the convention and cancellation of such a large event that had become a mainstay of the community’s calendar for the past 45 years, puts tremendous burden on the organizers. However, ICNA will continue to serve the American Muslim community round the clock in areas of social service, social justice, outreach etc. ICNA urges you to help us in these difficult times by donating generously for these services: icna.org/donate
