MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) — During this holiday season, local non-profits are working tenfold to ensure families in need have everything they need.
But they also need help from the community to make that happen.
Mayor Will Haynie will be joining others at Patriots Point on Sunday afternoon for a “Do Good Drive Through.”
The four non-profits involved are the East Cooper Meals on Wheels, East Cooper Community Outreach, ICNA Relief, and Windwood Family Services.
Among the items they are looking for include canned foods, cleaning supplies, dog and cat food, breakfast items, towels and hygiene items and undergarments.
The drive-thru version of this event will keep people in their cars and allow them to drop off the items so limit any possible exposure to COVID-19.
